Zoriz Ahmed, a bright student from Rahmani30 educational movement started in Bihar state’s capital city of Patna, has recently achieved a remarkable milestone. After completing his engineering degree at IIT Delhi, Zoriz secured a prestigious position at Google with an impressive annual package of ₹39 lakh. His journey, marked by perseverance and dedication, has become a beacon of hope for others.

Hailing from Jalwara, a small village in Darbhanga, Zoriz’s path to success was anything but easy. The QT assembly constituency, where his village is located, has historically struggled with low educational attainment. Despite these challenges, Zoriz’s parents, Shakeel Ahmed and his wife, a homemaker, prioritised their son’s education. Shakeel rented a room in Darbhanga to ensure Zoriz had better schooling.

Zoriz’s aptitude for mathematics and problem-solving became apparent early on, and in 2019, he was selected for Rahmani30, the institution focused on preparing underprivileged students for the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

At Rahmani30, Zoriz found the environment that would shape his future. “The teachers at Rahmani30 were exceptional, but what truly set it apart was the combination of a disciplined, religious atmosphere and a laser-sharp focus on academic excellence,” Zoriz shared. The institution’s rigorous training, combined with its focus on values, helped Zoriz hone both his technical skills and personal growth, ultimately leading him to IIT Delhi.

Zoriz’s family faced constant financial difficulties. “There were times when we struggled to make ends meet, but my father never let me feel the burden. His sacrifices and unwavering belief in my potential kept me going,” Zoriz recalled. Despite these hardships, he remained committed to his education, believing that challenges foster growth. “The darkest moments of the night come just before the dawn,” he said, quoting a Chinese proverb that mirrors his journey.

Now, Zoriz stands at the threshold of a new chapter with Google, where he will work with an annual package of ₹39 lakh. “It’s not just about succeeding academically,” Zoriz emphasised. “Education shapes us into better individuals and that is the true measure of success.”

His success is not only a reflection of his academic excellence but also of his values, discipline, and hard work. “The teachers, the values, the hard work — it all comes together to shape the person you become,” Zoriz said.

Zoriz’s journey reminds us of the power of education and perseverance. He encourages others, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, to remain dedicated to their goals. “If I can make it, so can others. The road may be tough, but it’s worth every bit of effort,” he said.

Zoriz’s success highlights the critical role of institutions like Rahmani30 in shaping the futures of talented youth from underserved communities. “Rahmani30 allowed me to realise my potential. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” he said, emphasising the importance of mentorship and access to quality education.

These youngsters want to make Hyderabad the hub of robotics

Ingentas is teaching people everything from basic batteries, jumper wires, buzzers, and sensors to the robotic arm, NASA’s Mars rover, and A.I.-driven drones.

Hyderabad:

Realizing that any type of access to learning robotics and artificial intelligence is not available to most people, Ingentas started off in 2021 with its vision to empower local communities by teaching them technologies that will be more relevant in the future. It’s a first-of-its-kind workshop in Hyderabad, completely run by engineering graduates and students that aims to make the city a hub of robotics.

Tahami Mundewadi, who has been in the field of robotics for the last four years is the founder and CEO of Ingentas. Speaking to Siasat.com, he said that joining the Robotics club at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering (MJCET) helped him learn and grow more in the pursuit of his passion.

“Everything from a vacuum cleaner to the robotic arm used to build cars, all are based on robotics and artificial intelligence, we are living in an interesting time where even surgeries are being performed by robots,” Mundewadi remarked.

He further added that the world is moving at a very fast pace in this direction and that we have to be in this race and compete with the others.w

Mundewadi stated, “you don’t necessarily have to be an engineering student to learn robotics, anything with passion can come.”

Furthermore, the CEO of Ingentas added that he believes that in 50 years everything will be based on robotics. “And to make anything mainstream in society we have to begin from the school level and that’s why we have classes from third-grade level all the way to advanced post-graduate level,” he remarked.

Two-wheeler ambulance, a concept of engineering students and design of Dassault

Having learnt about it, senior students joined the project and the college managing director had approached Dassault Systemes in France for help in designing the ambulance.

Deeply moved on seeing a report of a man carrying the body of his mother due to non-availability of ambulance during the Covid-19 pandemic, S Yashwant, a second year student of GATES Engineering College, Gooty, hit upon an idea of developing a cost-effective two-wheeler ambulance, which is easy to operate even on village roads. He immediately shared it with his friend Izaz Ahamed and both of them started giving a shape to the idea in Idea Lab of the college.

Having learnt about it, senior students joined the project and the college managing director had approached Dassault Systemes in France for help in designing the ambulance. Impressed by the idea and the objective behind it, Dassault had developed the prototype of ambulance using 3D design platform CATIA. The French company also sent its representative Suhas Preetipal to provide help to the students in the project.

Yashwant and Izaz Ahamed, under the supervision of Suhas Preetipal and college chief administrative officer V Anand, started giving a shape to their idea based on the design provided by Dassault. After 40-50 days of effort, they developed the two-wheeler ambulance, which can be attached to any 100 CC two-wheeler and it costs around Rs 50,000.

The maximum speed of the two-wheeler ambulance is limited to 35 kmph and it can be operated on any type of roads due to its sturdy structure. It is equipped with oxygen cylinder and other emergency medical equipment. It can be used not just for Covid cases, but also for any medical emergency.

Village secretariat to get first ambulance

Speaking to TNIE, Anand said the first two-wheeler ambulance designed and produced by them will be donated to the village secretariat for use in medical emergencies. “If produced in a large scale, the cost of ambulance can be brought down to Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000.

We are not applying for a patent for it, but uploading the design of ambulance on Dassault Systemes website, so anyone can download and make it. Our objective is to ensure that it is useful to all,” he said. Expressing happiness over the success of his project, Yashwant said their efforts were made easy with the involvement of the college management and help from Dassault.

Izaz Ahamed said their objective is to make an ambulance that is immensely useful to people, especially in rural areas, during medical emergencies. “Idea Lab in our college helped us give a shape to our plans and if not for the support and encouragement from the college management, our idea might not have transformed into a reality. We designed the two-wheeler ambulance in such a manner that it is not only lightweight and economical, but also sturdy at the same time,” he said.
