Dr Mateen ul Jabbar Skill Centre: A blessing for flood-hit Osman Nagar residents

The center was established in February 2021 by Faiz Aam Trust and Siasat Millat Fund with the aim to provide assistance to the residents of Osman Nagar.

The convocation ceremony of Dr. Mateen ul Jabbar Computer and Skill Development Center located in Osman Nagar held at the office of Faiz-e-Aam Trust.

The center was established in February 2021 by Faiz Aam Trust and Siasat Millat Fund with the aim to provide assistance to the residents of Osman Nagar in Shaheen Nagar locality, which were severely affected by floods. In response to the devastating situation, the Faiz-e-Aam and Siasat Millat Fund initiated relief efforts, and under the guidance of Editor Siasat Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Secretary, Faiz-e-Aam Mr. Iftikhar Hussain, and Managing Editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, various courses were taught to boys and girls to help rehabilitate and empower them.

Through this initiative, kits containing essential items such as masonry, bedding, medicines, and food were distributed to flood victims. Later, the Dr. Mateen Al Jabbar Computer and Skill Development Center was established, providing training opportunities for local students and individuals. Seven batches have already completed their training at the center and are now employed in Amazon, schools, colleges, supermarkets, and shopping centers, contributing to their families and society.

Mr. Iftikhar Hussain, Secretary of Faiz Aam Trust, praised the efforts of Zahid Ali Khan and Zaheeruddin Ali Khan in their vision to empower the youth and residents of Osman Nagar. The Skill Development Center has been instrumental in providing training and employment opportunities to numerous girls, a majority of the center’s beneficiaries.

During his address, News Editor, The Siasat Daily, Mr. Amer Ali Khan emphasized the importance of discipline, time management, for a bright future. He said “in the pursuit of success and development, discipline, time management, and hard work play crucial roles in shaping the younger generation of any community. Time management is a concept that has been emphasized in various organizations. However, this concept is not new; Islam introduced it 1445 years ago through the five daily prayers, serving as a prime example of time management and discipline.

He stated that Indians and Muslims in particular possess inherent abilities, and what they need is proper guidance. He compared children to diamonds that need shaping and polishing to shine. Khan highlighted the success stories of thousands of Muslim boys and girls who now serve in multinational companies.

He encouraged the youth to develop artistic skills and acquire practical knowledge, inspiring them to collaborate and establish start-ups.

Certificates were awarded to 66 students during the ceremony, and the efforts of Ms. Ayesha Samad, who provides diligent training to the students, were highly commended. Syed Abdul Sattar, Manager of Faiz Aam Trust, expressed gratitude to everyone involved and extended a vote of thanks to conclude the event. The Dr. Mateen ul Jabbar Computer and Skill Development Center stands as a testament to the power of education and empowerment in uplifting communities.

Journalist Amer Ali Khan nominated as MLC

Amer Ali Khan, news editor of Urdu daily Siasat, has been nominated as a member of Telangana Legislative Council.

The Congress government had recommended names of academician M. Kodandaram and journalist Amer Ali Khan as MLC under Governor’s quota.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has accepted the recommendation of the state government.

Kodandaram heads Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS), which had supported the Congress party in the recent Assembly elections.

Amir Ali Khan’s nomination is also seen as a thanksgiving gesture by the Congress party for the newspaper’s support.

The Congress has recommended his nomination in recognition of the social, economic, welfare and educational activities of ‘Siasat’, one of the largest circulated Urdu dailies in India.

Amer Ali Khan has been in the forefront of the movement to demand implementation of 12 percent reservation as promised by the previous BRS government.

The 50-year-old is in-charge of various programmes run by the Urdu newspaper. Having completed his Bachelors in Communication and Journalism from Osmania University and Masters in Business Administration from Sultan–ul-Uloom, he has been instrumental in forming an alliance of 10 Urdu dailies for content. Under his tutelage, Siasat has expanded to Bengaluru and Qatar for the Middle East edition.

Amer Ali Khan is son of Siasat chief editor Zahid Ali Khan, who was earlier associated with the TDP and also contested Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad constituency in 2009.

He is the first Muslim legislator under the Congress government. It may be recalled that none of the Muslim candidates fielded by the Congress in recent Assembly elections was elected. They included former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir and former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin.

Shabbir was last week appointed as government advisor.

Prof. Dr. S. Jeelani, Director, CD & VL, the Central University of Hyderabad who was the Chief Guest praises Mustafa Hashmi and said he should be a role model for all Telangana to excel in studies, competitive exams and bag prestigious positions in the bureaucracy. “Every student should set a target and have a vision and commitment to achieve it,” he said.

K.M. Arifuddin Memorial Award (Social Service Award in Education field) was presented to Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Founder and Chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions, Bidar. Nearly 80 gold medal awards were presented to meritorious students including Ph.D.

Amer Ali Khan releases book on ‘Karbala’

Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily released the Sovenir of “Zawia Adab” society.

It is the first book of the society. In his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that the incident of Karbala is the eradication of evil forces and support of the values of Islam.

On this occasion, he made a references to various literary books published in English, Hindi and Urdu right from Meer Taqi Meer to the present day.

At the beginning of the function, Mr. Mazharul Haq, President of the society highlighted its aims and objectives.

Present on the occasion were Mr. Ali Anjum Sadiq, Mr. Ali Inayat, Mr. Baquer Mehdi Abedi, Mr. Akhtarul Hasan and Mr. Meer Haider Ali.

Mr. Faraz Rizvi thanked Mr. Amer Ali Khan and the audience.

Siasat’s Millat Fund arranges burial of destitute Muslim dead bodies

Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily received a letter from six police stations including Bahadurpura and Langer Houz requesting him to arrange for the burials of nine destitute Muslim dead bodies.

In accordance with these requests, these dead bodies were procured from Osmania and Gandhi General Hospitals. They were buried in Tharthareshah Muslim graveyard, Secunderabad under the supervision of Mr. Syed Abdul Mannan, Mr. Samiullah Khan and Mr. Abdul Jaleel.

Mr. Syed Shah Inamul Haq, Imam of Jamia Masjid, Afzal Jung led the funeral prayer.

Indian Muslims lag behind others in development: Amer Ali Khan

News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Amer Ali Khan applauded the efforts of EFA Foundation Raichur in fields of Medical and Education. He announced to donate Re. 1 lakh to the foundation.

Addressing the decennial celebrations of EFA Foundation at Raichur, he told that in order to break the concentration of Muslims, former Hyderabad State was divided into three parts. He told that by managing the Zakat amount, the Muslims can come out of the fear and inferiority complex.

On the occasion of decennial celebration of the foundation, he was presenting his key note address at Rangamandir Auditorium, Station Road, Raichur. Mr. Mohammed Shabbir, Chairman of the Foundation presided over the meeting.

Continuing his address, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that the merger of former Hyderabad State in Indian Union was a painful incident. Under an organized conspiracy, Muslim concentration areas were trifurcated into three States. Muslims took 60 years to come out of this situation. they had 40% representation in government service before independence which has now been reduced to 1%.

Muslims were appeased by glorified statements. Right from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari and Gujarat to Assam, Muslims are downtrodden. For the educational and economic backwardness of the Muslims, community itself is responsible along with the rulers. Various committees have declared that Muslims are backward than the other communities. There is a need to organize the Muslims through careful planning which will certainly yield fruitful results.

Citing the success of EFA foundation, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that the plant which was planted 10 years back has now grown into a strong tree. Now the time has come for the Muslims to come forward for the development of the community. He pointed out that every major work has a small beginning.

He applauded the yeomen service of EFA foundation in feeding the patients in hospitals. He advised the Muslims of India to follow the example of EFA foundation. He told them to devise a formula for pooling up Zakat amounts and its proper distribution which would be helpful in eradicating poverty.

He lamented on the huge rates of dropouts of Muslim students. He advised the students to select appropriate professional courses and prove their talents.

Referring to the Muslim population in Raichur, he said that if every Muslim contributes Re. 1 per day, a huge amount could be collected in the area which has 40% Muslim concentration.

Citing the budget allocation of TS Govt., he pointed out that for 55 lakh SCs, Govt. allocated Rs. 15000 crore whereas for 50 lakh Muslims only Rs. 2000 crore has been allotted.

He predicted that the General Elections of 2019 will play a major role in the politics of this country. He advised the Muslims not to cast their votes in favour of communal parties. We hope that ‘good days’ are ahead for us.

At the beginning of the function, Mr. Haris Siddiqui introduced Mr. Amer Ali Khan to the audience and said that he has inherited journalistic talents. In the young age, he is shouldering important responsibilities of the largest Urdu Daily of the country.

Mr. Syed Minhaj-ul-Hasan highlighted the welfare activities of the foundation. He said that for the past 900 days, poor and orphan people are being fed. 300 poor Muslims were helped for surgical operations. Orphans are being adopted by the foundation. Ramadan kits are distributed to the poor persons.

Mr. Aslam Pasha told that he joined the foundation impressed by its welfare activities. Mr. Tajamul Husain appealed to the people to extend their cooperation. Mr. Mazhar Husain and others addressed the gathering.

Mr. Azhar Makhsoosi who feeds poor persons in Hyderabad was felicitated in the function. Mr. Ashraf Ali, Asian Power Lifting Champion. Mr. Mohammed Kaif Mullah, SSLC State Topper of Karnataka, Mr. Rafat Taskeen, 7 year old multi vehicle rider, Mohammed Abdul Wasif, founder of Fatima Old Age Home, Hyderabad were felicitated in the function.
