Choudhary Fouzia Begum is Chairperson; Mysorean Nyamathulla Khan among ten nominated as members

The State Government on Saturday nominated Chairperson and members for the Karnataka State Urdu Academy.
The Government has nominated Choudhary Fouzia Begum as the Chairperson of the Urdu Academy and has also nominated 13 others including Nyamathulla Khan from Mysore as its members.
The nominated members are: Anil Thakkar, Mohammed Amjad Hussain, Mohammed Ashfaq Siddiqui, Nyamathulla Khan, Sabeeha Zubair Khan, Sayeed Yousuf Ali Natique, Syed Shafique Ahmed (Shafique Abidi), Rizwanulla Khan, Bhandari Rafi Ahmed Mohammed Hashim and Muhammed Yousuf.
The Registrar and Finance Member of the Academy, Director of Kannada and Culture Department or a representative from the Directorate will also be a member of the Academy and the order will immediately come into effect, according to a press release.
Nyamathulla Khan: After completing his MA (Urdu) from the University of Mysore in 1972, he joined as a lecturer in Urdu in Sept. 1972 as a local candidate in the Department of PU Education and worked in Gubbi, Harihar and Arkalgud. In 1975, he was appointed as the lecturer by KPSC and worked in Bhadravati, Harihar, Srirangapatna and Malavalli before being promoted as the Principal of Doddahalli Government PU College in Hassan district in 1993 before retiring from service in 2005.
Presently, he is serving at Urdu Learning Centres in Mysore namely: MEWA, Shanthinagar, SALEHAT, Tipu Masjid, Ebrahim Masjid (all in Bannimantap), Madrasa Moinia in Lashkar Mohalla, Girls Orphanage on Ashoka Road, Royal Girls High School on Sheshadri Iyer Road and Al Ameen S.S. School in Malavalli.
