Globally known geologist and newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Professor Talat Ahmad, was felicitated by the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association, Delhi, in association with Shafiq Ahmad Ansari Memorial Trust (SAAMT) at the India Islamic Cultural Centre (IICC) on September 2.

He addressed the august gathering, including alumni from AMU and senior Jamia faculty members.

During his 14 minutes speech, he talked about many things including his plans how to take iconic Jamia—a minority institution—further. Professor Ahmad is an AMU alumnus.
